Our Mission

We are a small family-run business, working to keep Endangered and Rare Breed Animals whilst promoting, training and supporting other people to do the same. We work with Dublin Zoo and other organisations to promote, display and inform children and adults on Rare Breed Animals and the importance of Local Food.

We butcher our own pigs, cure and smoke bacon, make sausages ( 80% Pork), and pack our meat in a HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) environment. Both Joe and Julie have received Five Star Hygiene Certificate, Food Safety and H.A.C.C.P. Certificates.

We sell our produce to customers in our farm shop and farmers markets to offer Fresh Eggs, Home Made Pickles and Preserves, Fresh Lamb and Rare Breed, Outdoor reared pork and ham.

We work most weekends attending Markets, opening our Farm Shop and/or running Rare Breed Pig Keeping Courses, therefore we are often unable to answer the telephone at weekends.
